When Relationships Feel Conditional - Episode 1

Understanding yourself, one layer deeper.

Today’s a little different.

Over the past few weeks, a few of you have said the same thing in different ways. You’ve been reading these pieces, sitting with them, replying to them and you wanted to hear them as well. Something you can listen to while walking, driving, or just being with your thoughts without needing to read.

So I’ve started recording them.

This is the first one.

The episode is called When Relationships Feel Conditional, and it builds on everything we’ve been exploring this week. Not just support that doesn’t hold, but the deeper shift that happens inside you when connection starts to depend on you being a certain way. When you feel more accepted when you’re lighter, more agreeable, less in need and something changes when you’re not.

It’s something a lot of people feel, but don’t always recognise straight away.

There’s also something different about hearing it. You don’t process it in quite the same way. It tends to land a bit deeper, a bit slower. It becomes less about understanding and more about recognising yourself in it.

That’s what I wanted this to be. Not something separate, just another way into the same work.

Some pieces will stay written. Some will be both. Over time, this will become something you can come back to depending on what you need in that moment.

The first episode is now live: When Relationships Feel Conditional.

If you’ve found yourself in more than one piece this week, that’s because these patterns tend to connect. The Inner Worlds edition takes this further, into why these dynamics feel familiar, why they’re harder to step away from than they should be, and what begins to shift when you start relating to yourself differently within them. Upgrading also gives you access to the full archive, where all of this builds over time.

This is just the start of this side of things.

I’ll speak to you in next weeks Podcast, until then - take care.
